Green mountains hide beautiful scenery, and young people embark on a journey to the mountains and rivers. On July 22, over a hundred young pioneers from Zhejiang and Aba, who participated in the 2026 "New Long March" Youth Zhejiang-Aba Exchange Red Research Summer Camp, entered the Shuangqiao Valley scenic area of Mt. Siguniang. Relying on the unique plateau resources of the scenic area, they carried out an outdoor research and practice that integrated natural science popularization, ecological aesthetic education, and patriotic sentiments. They felt the charm of the sacred mountain in the snow-capped mountains and forested valleys, striving to become cultural and tourism ambassadors for Mt. Siguniang and the beautiful Aba.

In the early morning, the team members, dressed in camp uniforms and wearing red scarves, headed to Mt. Siguniang. Guided by the research and study guide and the leading teacher, they ventured deep into the canyon, immersing themselves in the natural geological and ecological classroom of Mt. Siguniang.

As the core tourist area of Mt. Siguniang, Shuangqiao Valley is known as the "Natural Museum" of the Hengduan Mountains. With redwood forests, alpine meadows, vestige of glaciation, and plateau wetlands unfolding in succession, over fifty landscapes construct a complete ecological picture of the plateau. Walking along the wooden plank road in the scenic area, firs and redwoods tower high into the sky, and rock vestiges carved by glaciers can be seen everywhere. Guided by the geomorphic features of Mt. Siguniang, educational guides explain to children the evolution process of Quaternary glaciers, the characteristics of plateau vegetation, and the knowledge of alpine wild animals and plants, blending book knowledge with the real landscapes of Mt. Siguniang.

The team members diligently recorded the landform of the plateau lakes and captured the iconic snowy mountain scenery of Mt. Siguniang with their cameras. Many team members from Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, expressed that it was their first close encounter with rolling snowy mountains, and they intuitively felt the unique beauty of the plateau ecology of Mt. Siguniang. Everyone expressed their willingness to become ambassadors for Mt. Siguniang, sharing the magnificent snowy mountain scenery and stories of the plateau ecology they saw in the scenic area with their friends and family back home, and conveying the unique charm of this oriental sacred mountain.
This study tour is also an important part of the "Ten Ones" theme practice of the summer camp. Stepping out of the classroom and getting close to the snow-capped meadows of Mt. Siguniang, young people from Zhejiang and Afghanistan can closely appreciate the magnificent scenery of the scenic area, establish an awareness of ecological protection, and appreciate the grandeur of the motherland's mountains and rivers. At the same time, through study and exchange, the interaction and integration between young people from Zhejiang and Afghanistan can be deepened, fostering a strong sense of national unity.
Next, the Mt. Siguniang Scenic Area will continue to explore ecological, geological, and outdoor educational resources, improve educational facilities and curriculum systems, create high-quality educational products, and continuously attract young people from all over to enter the "Oriental Sacred Mountain · Outdoor Paradise".
