Under the towering snow-capped peaks, scholarly elegance and poetic sentiment dance together; amidst the vibrant cultural threads, ideas and inspiration mingle! From June 25th to 26th, the series of events titled "Sichuan Cultural Heritage, World Journey - World Sinologists' Perspective on China: Sichuan Tour" arrived at Mt. Siguniang. Represented by a delegation of world sinologists, including French sinologist Mr. Bevin Jiang and his wife, Ms. Liu Weili (of Chinese descent), as well as Egyptian scholar Yahya Mukhtar, they embarked on a deep cultural exploration journey in this "Oriental Sacred Mountain, Outdoor Paradise," jointly composing a new chapter in the exchange between Chinese and foreign cultures.
Upon entering the A Lai Book House, filled with Tibetan ambiance, a unique literary recitation salon was quietly unfolding. Sinologists from both China and abroad, speaking in standard and fluent Chinese or with a unique accent, recited classic works with deep emotion, sharing their insights from the event.
After the sharing session, sinologists solemnly presented their own works, treasured translations of Chinese literature, and carefully prepared autographed books to Alai Bookstore. These books, which embody wisdom and effort, not only enriched the collection of the bookstore but also served as a bridge for cultural exchange between China and the world, making Alai Bookstore a vivid epitome of cultural integration.
After leaving the reading room, the delegation of sinologists stepped into the museum cluster of Mt. Siguniang Geopark, feeling as if they had traveled through time and space and entered a three-dimensional encyclopedia of nature and humanities. Inside the museum, they immersed themselves in the geological evolution of Mt. Siguniang. From the "Queen of the Mountains of Sichuan" peak cluster created by intense plate collisions to the U-shaped valley landform carefully carved by Quaternary glaciers, every geological wonder amazed the sinologists. When they learned that Mt. Siguniang was striving to become a UNESCO Global Geopark, the group spoke highly of the application work for the scenic area and sincerely offered their blessings.
The sinologist Yixing also ventured into the Shuangqiao Valley scenic area to immerse himself in the magic and grandeur of nature. He visited and admired innovative cultural and tourism integration projects such as the Forest Music Festival, the Mt. Siguniang Science Education Base, the 3360 Coffee House, and the Mt. Siguniang Cultural and Creative Store.
The successful hosting of this event holds extraordinary significance. It is not only a knowledge feast for cultural exchange between China and the world, but also provides an excellent opportunity for Mt. Siguniang to showcase its unique charm to the world. Through this event, Mt. Siguniang has successfully built a bridge for communication with the international community, accumulating valuable experience for cultural exchange between China and the world.
