To enhance the ability of Mt. Siguniang scenic area to respond to sudden geological disasters and ensure the safety of tourists' lives and property, on June 16th, the Mt. Siguniang Nature Reserve Administration, in collaboration with the Aba Dajiu Tourism Mt. Siguniang Sightseeing Branch, conducted an emergency evacuation drill for tourists in the event of a sudden geological disaster at Maozhou Bay in Shuangqiao Valley. The drill simulated a sudden debris flow in the scenic area, providing a practical test for tourist evacuation, rescue, and emergency response, achieving remarkable results.
Before the drill, our bureau and the Mt. Siguniang sightseeing branch of Aba Dajiu Tourism established a joint drill command headquarters and formulated a detailed and comprehensive drill plan. We clarified the division of responsibilities among various departments, covering multiple aspects such as scenic area management, tourism operation, emergency rescue, and medical support. Relevant personnel were organized to hold preparatory meetings multiple times to conduct in-depth discussions on the drill process, scene setup, personnel arrangement, and material allocation, ensuring that the drill was carried out in a scientific and orderly manner. At the same time, the area within the scenic area participating in the drill was cleared in advance, and warning signs were set up to avoid affecting the normal tourism order.
The drill simulated a sudden debris flow disaster in the scenic area due to continuous rainfall. After discovering the danger, the monitoring personnel immediately reported the information to the joint drill headquarters. The headquarters quickly launched the emergency plan and issued warning signals. The scenic area broadcast immediately informed tourists of the disaster situation, reminding them to stay calm and follow instructions. All emergency response teams responded quickly and carried out actions according to the established plan.
During the drill, all teams responded swiftly and cooperated seamlessly, successfully completing the task of evacuating and rescuing tourists and achieving the expected goals. This emergency drill effectively tested the ability of Mt. Siguniang Scenic Area to respond to sudden geological disasters and improved the collaborative combat level of various departments. In the future, Mt. Siguniang Nature Reserve Administration and Aba Dajiu Tourism Mt. Siguniang Sightseeing Branch will take this drill as an opportunity to continuously improve emergency plans, strengthen safety management, create a safe and orderly tourism environment for tourists, and promote high-quality development of the scenic area.
