To enhance public awareness of environmental protection and advocate the concept of green development, on June 5th, the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture Ecological Environment Bureau, in collaboration with the Urban Environment and Resources Committee of the Prefecture People's Congress, the Xiaojin County People's Government, and the Mt. Siguniang Nature Reserve Administration, held a themed event titled "6·5 World Environment Day - Beautiful China, I Lead the Way" at the Shuangqiao Valley Square in the Mt. Siguniang Geopark in Xiaojin County. Ai Xiaobing, Chairman of the Urban Environment and Resources Committee of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture People's Congress, Yang Jixiong, Director of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture Ecological Environment Bureau, Sanlang Ema, Deputy Director and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Prefecture Ecological Environment Bureau, Chen Yu, Deputy Director and member of the Party Committee of the Mt. Siguniang Nature Reserve Administration, and Li Guiliang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xiaojin County Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, attended the event.

The event site hosted a series of diverse and enriching activities centered around "World Environment Day and the Environmental Protection Century Walk". The "Beautiful Aba, Everybody's Action Initiative" was read out on the spot. The naming ceremony for the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture's ecological civilization construction demonstration sites for 2025 was held, along with a short video collection activity themed "I Make Aba More Beautiful". The participating experts also presented awards for the "Children's Drawings of Beauty" painting works.

Multiple promotional booths were set up at the site, showcasing the comprehensive achievements in ecological and environmental protection of Xiaojin County and Mt. Siguniang Geopark in recent years. Volunteers disseminated knowledge about energy conservation, carbon reduction, waste sorting, environmental safety, and other environmental protection-related topics to the general public through various means such as hanging banners, distributing promotional materials, handing out eco-friendly shopping bags, and explaining environmental protection knowledge. This further disseminated knowledge about the geology and ecology of the geopark, enhancing the public's awareness of ecological and environmental protection, and was warmly welcomed by residents and tourists alike.

Through these exhibitions and promotions, we hope to provide the public with a more intuitive understanding of the ecological value of Mt. Siguniang Geopark, and enhance their sense of responsibility towards protecting geoheritage and natural heritage. In the future, the park will continue to organize a series of activities, contributing to the preservation of green mountains and clear waters and the construction of a beautiful park.
