In order to fully support the application of Mt. Siguniang for UNESCO Global Geopark status, promote and popularize geoscience knowledge, and further create an atmosphere conducive to the establishment of a UNESCO Global Geopark, on April 24th, Mt. Siguniang Geopark, in collaboration with the Sichuan Institute of Geological Survey, Sichuan Geophysical Survey and Research Institute, Geoscience Tourism Research Committee of Sichuan Tourism Society, Youth Literature Research Committee of Sichuan Province, and Geoscience Research Branch of Sichuan Research and Tourism Industry Promotion Association, jointly conducted the "Mt. Siguniang Geopark Series of Special Topics Training". Zhao Anhong, Deputy Director of the Mt. Siguniang Geopark Administration, attended and presided over the training. Relevant departments of the Mt. Siguniang Geopark Administration, the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Xiaojin County, leaders from six townships, and over 70 people from surrounding communities participated in the training.

At the meeting, Huang Hao, the project leader of the Sichuan Institute of Geophysical Survey, the technical support team for the application for the Unesco Global Geopark, gave a systematic introduction covering various aspects such as "Overview of UNESCO Global Geopark, the significance of the application work, the requirements and standards for application, the A-level assessment document for UNESCO Global Geopark, and the follow-up work for the application". This further enhanced the understanding of UNESCO Global Geopark among management personnel, township workers, and local community residents, clarified the key points and role positioning of the application work, fully mobilized their consciousness and enthusiasm for participating in the construction and development of the geopark and the protection of geological relics, and formed a strong joint force for everyone to participate in the application work.

Immediately after, the park also conducted course training for teachers and research mentors in the park. The course focused on three aspects: "background overview of Mt. Siguniang Geopark, geological heritages, other natural ecology, and humanistic and historical resources and their connections". It explained the unique geological heritages, natural ecology, and distinctive humanities of the park in a focused and simple manner, effectively improving the cognition and level of teachers in the park and laying a foundation for the park to carry out higher-quality research and popular science activities in the future.

Next, Mt. Siguniang Geopark will continue to organize various training activities for employees, management personnel, and partners, continuously enhancing their professional abilities and service levels, and effectively telling the stories of the park and the earth!
