To all outdoor clubs (companies) and the vast number of outdoor activity enthusiasts:

Currently, it is the forest protection and fire prevention period as well as the winter snow season in the Mt. Siguniang National Nature Reserve. In order to ensure the prevention and extinguishment of forest and grassland fires, forest protection and conservation, and safe production, after thorough research and approval from the sports authority, the announcement is as follows:

1.From November 1, 2024, the four outdoor activities of mountaineering, camping, rock climbing, and hiking through the forest will be stopped in the entire protected area.

2.The specific time for resuming operations will be announced separately based on the actual situation

3.During the period of stopping outdoor activities, if any individual or unit enters the protected area to carry out outdoor activities, the Mt.Siguniang Geopark Administration and relevant management departments will impose severe penalties in accordance with management regulations. All consequences such as property losses and personal injuries shall be borne by the activity organizing unit and individual. The units and individuals who carry out outdoor activities in violation of regulations will be included in the list of dishonesty in the Mt. Siguniang scenic area. If the act constitutes a criminal offense, they will be handed over to the judicial authorities to pursue legal responsibility in accordance with the law.

4.During the temporary suspension of outdoor activities in the nature reserve, we welcome the general public to promptly report any units or individuals who violate the regulations by entering the reserve to conduct outdoor activities.
