Situated at the end of Jiesi Valley, this lake comprises an upper cirque lake and a lower glacial trough lake. The upper cirque lake is at an elevation of 4,565 m, elliptical in shape, measuring 670 m in length and 360 m in width, with clear, shallow green water. The lower trough lake, located at 4,372 m elevation, is also elliptical, with a major axis extending northeast, about 505 m long and 271 m wide. Its maximum depth is 5 m, with an average depth of 0.8 m. The water temperature is 7°C, and the pH is 7.5. The water level in this lake is relatively stable.
