Situated in Shuangqiao Valley at 3,588 m elevation, this lake extends in a nearly north-south direction, measuring 520 m in length and 324 m in width. The maximum depth can exceed 2 m, with an average depth of 1 m. The water is clear and tasteless, with a temperature of 6°C and a pH of 7.4 to 7.7. The lake was formed by sediment accumulation from alluvial fans blocking the valley.
