Approximately 22 km long, nearly north-south oriented, with a straight trough valley and underdeveloped tributary valleys. The general width is greater than 1.5 km, and the depth typically exceeds 600 m. The relative height difference between the valley entrance and the end is 2692 m. Mu’erzhai Valley is one of the best-preserved vegetation areas in the geopark, mainly featuring primary forest, with a complex and complete ecosystem.
