
After two months of research and negotiation, on July 22nd, the Mt. Siguniang Nature Reserve Administration and the School of Geography and Information Engineering of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the foot of the beautiful Mt. Siguniang.

Guided by the principles of mutual benefit, resource sharing, complementary strengths, and honesty and trustworthiness, both parties will leverage their respective academic and technological strengths, continuously expand areas of cooperation, further explore and deepen their scientific and technological innovation achievements, and carry out project cooperation in industries such as geological parks, natural resources, natural disasters, ecological environment, biodiversity conservation, "dual carbon", territorial spatial planning and governance, ecological protection and restoration, digital parks, and smart parks.

Based on their respective advantageous resources and core scientific research capabilities, both parties will leverage the well-preserved geological and geomorphic resources of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Mt. Siguniang, focus on building Mt. Siguniang as a world-renowned geological and geoscience brand, promote the high-quality development of Mt. Siguniang, and establish strategic partnerships and jointly carry out work in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific and technological research and development, academic and innovative exchanges, project cooperation, transformation and promotion of scientific and technological achievements, construction of basic scientific and technological condition platforms, and decision-making support applications.

At the signing ceremony, Wang Shaoqiang, Dean of the School of Geography and Information Engineering at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), also presented a plaque to Mt.Siguniang Geopark Administration, marking the establishment of the Cooperation Demonstration Base between the School and Mt. Siguniang.
